Donations Are Still Critical
All the children and staff at both Freedom House homes are safe and healthy!! Miracously the homes were not damaged. 1 wall at the Bethesda home fell over (we are thankful that none of the children or staff were near the wall when it fell) That wall has been rebuilt. The other 3 walls at Bethesda did not fall but do have some cracks and damage. Construction continues at both homes with a goal to add 40 to 50 more children between September and the end of the year.
Bethesda home needs - We plan to reinforce the home with steel to add extra strength in the event of another quake or after shock.
- The new 2nd floor addition is almost completed. We require funds for furniture, 4 bedrooms and a large living room / meeting area.
- Repair the 3 walls that sustained structure cracks.
- Add more solar pannels to ensure there is enough power to light ther 2nd floor addition.
- Drill a well and add a water purification unit
Grace needs - Construction of the new home began the 1st week of June!! The home is located next to the school and church.
The cost of construction materials has increased sharply since the quake as there is a huge demand for concrete and steel as NGO's work to rebuild Haiti. Due to the sharp increase in materials fund raising will continue in order to complete the construction of the home.
- Drill a well and add a water purification unit.
- Furnish the home when it is completed.
Pray for the girls of the orphanages and the staffPray for safety, and the Lord's hand over everyone there. Pray that the funds will come in to supply the needs for both homes |
