Our mission is to rescue, shelter, teach and mentor orphaned and abandoned children in developing countries by supporting, along with our partners, the establishment and operation of homes where this ministry can take place in a Christian context.
Freedom House Bethesda: A Home of Freedom and Hope in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Our first home, located in Haiti, provides a loving, stable and safe home for abandoned, homeless and neglected orphaned children. After a long and relentless effort, we were able to purchase a piece of property adjacent to the Bethesda Baptist Church and Bethesda School and now have our first group of children in residence.
The children may have been forced into begging on the streets or other unseemly activity. They may have been abused. No doubt all come to us from extremely difficult life circumstances that have not been of their fault in any way.
In our care, they are quickly incorporated into a loving Christian community wherein their physical, educational, medical and spiritual needs are met. It is remarkable to witness the transformation that takes place in short period of time as these precious ones discover, perhaps for the first time, that they are in a place of protection and love.
We invite you to become a partner with us as we seek to build into these children a sense of hope and a Godly future as well-rounded and valued members of their society.
